Hebrews 13.7
“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.”
This week we are focussing on remembering. I became a Christian because I saw the reality of the faith of the godly older saints in the church where I grew up. I saw their kindness, their generosity, their steadfastness, and their zeal to tell others (including us when we were children) about the Lord Jesus. And I could see that they knew the Lord in a real and personal way. I am probably a poor reflection of those godly men and women, but I thank God that their example pointed me to the path of faith. And I still remember them with fondness and gratitude.
That you those role models in the faith who have gone ahead of us and shown us the way. Help us to be role models for those to follow as we seek to imitate Jesus.
