Inspired by the recollections of the Psalmist in Psalm 77:10-12, we prepared for the New Year this morning by constructing a story-web in our all-age service, attaching to it post-it notes about: good occasions in the last year we are thankful for; difficult times that God brought us through; and prayer requests for the future. Our hope is that this will serve as a safety net for when times are difficult, reminding us of God’s help in the past, and as a trampoline, propelling us forward as we look forward to what he is going to do next.
