Hebrews 7:23-25 (NIVUK)
23 Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; 24 but because Jesus lives for ever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
It seems to be one of those reliable things in life that things break down only after the warranty has expired – and usually it is almost immediately making it even more frustrating! If only the warranty didn’t run out… Hebrews tells us that Jesus has achieved our salvation but more than that, the never warranty never runs out, but he intercedes for us without ceasing.
Thank you Jesus for the eternal yes we have in you!
