On Sunday morning Ben started a series going through Matthew and he started with the genealogy of Jesus. This week in the notes we are looking at some of the people in that genealogy – many of the people have stories that are quite fascinating – worth a look!!

2 Kings 19:14,19 NIV
[14] Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord………. [19] Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone, Lord, are God.”

Hezekiah was a King facing really tough enemies who were intent on wiping him out. He did not have anything like enough power to defend himself but he knew where to look. As we face today can we look to God so that the people around us “may know that you alone, Lord, are God”

My lighthouse, my lighthouse
Shining in the darkness. I will follow You
My lighthouse, my lighthouse
I will trust the promise
You will carry me safe to shore
