Romans 12:3 NIV
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
An aspect of renewing our minds is renewing how we see ourselves. Perhaps the key word here is grace – there is a balancing act, if we’re honest we recognise that we all have frailties and failings, none of us are perfect, but at the same time our faith informs us that despite these God loves us and has chosen us to be his family. We are special, but only because of him.
