Nehemiah 9:17 NIV
[17] They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,
How often do I need to discover again that God is forgiving, gracious and compassionate! He welcomes the child who returns to him, seeks and finds the lost sheep that has strayed, opens the eyes of the blind to see him and always abounds in love! He will never desert you or me because he overflows with love for us – amazing!
How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure,
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.
