Bible Notes

Acts 16:9-10 (06.08.20)

Acts 16:9-10 NIV
[9] During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” [10] After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

It’s interesting to see Paul’s reaction to the vision of a man begging for help – he concluded that God had called him to preach the Gospel to them – we are surrounded by people and circumstances that need help and where do we look? Paul knew that his resources were nothing but he knew that God was able to meet whatever needs there were in Macedonia. We have very limited resources but we have God with us and his power and wisdom are sufficient for every need so never despair but look upward!

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed and You won’t start now

And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise my soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
