Hebrews 12:14-15
14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
Peace is not something that simply happens, it needs us to strive for it, to work at it, to nurture and protect. Without such deliberate care we gradually slip into this world’s default of disorder and strife. Thank God that we don’t work alone, but that our striving is wrapped up in God’s greater striving.
What ripples of disquiet or disharmony are their in you life or those around you at the moment. Pray that God will show you what you can do to help resolve these and bring peace.
