Matthew 3:16-17 NIV
[16] As soon as Jesus was baptised, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. [17] And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
What an amazing picture of God the Father being completely satisfied with Jesus – the one whom he loves. When we come to known Jesus as our Saviour and Lord we become part of this family and God takes delight in us – that’s amazing!!! Imagine today as you go about the business of the day, God looking at you and saying “look at this child of mine that I love – aren’t they amazing?” I think he does that – in his sight you are precious!
Father God, I thank you that in Jesus you see me as made clean and righteous and that your love never leaves me.
