John 17:1-2 NIV
[1] After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. [2] For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.
This week is an awesome time when injustice and hatred seem to overcome but see in the prayer of Jesus this amazing triumph – “that he might give eternal life to all those….”. The life that we have received is because Jesus was willing to take the penalty of our sin, to suffer in our place and to die instead of us.
This is our God, the Servant King –
He calls us now to follow Him
To bring our lives as a daily offering
Of worship to the Servant King
