Isaiah 61:1-2 NIV
[1] The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, [2] to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
Being a part of God’s family, knowing our sins are forgiven and that God loves us, is an amazing gift and it is ours to share! He has anointed us with his Holy Spirit with a wonderful message and job to do – read that again and ask God how he wants us to bring that good news and comfort today.
Lord, help us to share your love, joy, freedom and comfort today.
