Psalm 123:3 (NIVUK)
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
As we thought about yesterday, God is our guide. This doesn’t mean that all of life will be easy, instead it means that he is with us even in the difficult times of life, the darkest valleys that we might travel through. As a shepherd might use a staff to guide and protect their sheep, so too God protects and guides us, bringing us comfort through knowing he is there for us.
