Psalm 123:6 (26.08.22)

Psalm 123:6 (NIVUK)
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
for ever.

When we finish the journey God is guiding us on, through green fields and by refreshing rivers, and through dark valleys and the presence of our enemies, we end up with him, forever – the Temple was where God dwelt with his people. When we arrive, we will be able to look back and know that he has been with us, and has cared for us and loved us, even if we weren’t aware of it at the time.

One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
