Ephesians 1:3
On Sunday I used this week’s verses to introduce the service from The Message to make it more accessible to our younger members, so I’ve used that here as well, but putting the NIV alongside it so you can compare them.
(MSG) How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him.
(NIV) 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ
There’s an old song that goes, ‘count your blessings, name them one by one’. It might sound a little twee, but I think it’s a great sentiment. Give it ago, and you’ll find that yes, the list goes on and on. We have been given so many good things in our lives by God, most supremely, of course, through Jesus.
Make a list of things that have been a blessing to you and give thanks!
