Genesis 18:10-12 (27.10.22)

Genesis 18:10-12 (NIVUK)
10 Then one of them said, ‘I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.’
Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. 11 Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. 12 So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, ‘After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?’

Do you ever think you’re not good enough / talented enough / of the right personality / right age etc. to be used by God. You’re not on your own. Sarah clearly thought she was not the right person for God to be using to work his promises through – she couldn’t have children and was too old. He wouldn’t pick her to start his family through, would he. But God had different plans. He had chosen her, and that’s all that matters. Don’t discount yourself from being used by God.

Father, help me not to question your call, instead, help me simply respond.
