21 ‘This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich towards God.’
Now there’s an intriguing phrase; what does it mean to be ‘rich towards God’? Is this a deliberate contrast with the rich man who invested in his own accumulation, rather than giving as much as he could to God and serving him? What could his live have looked like – and what might yours if you pursued that kind of wealth?
Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to thee…
