Hebrews 1.6
“Let all God’s angels worship him.”

I am inclined to think that the angels in heaven always did worship Jesus. But after the crucifixion and resurrection they had even more reason to do so, as they saw God’s wonderful plan for fallen man’s salvation. We get a glimpse of that in Revelation 5.11-12: “Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: ‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!’” This reminds me of something the apostle Peter said: “…the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.” 1 Peter 3.21b-22

Deepen my understanding of who you are and what you’ve done Lord, so that like the angels, my worship may grow!
